Welcome Aram Masee, TCMP
Aram graduated from the Doctor of Chinese Medicine Program at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC. There he learned the importance of considering both Eastern and Western thought when approaching health and wellness, and developed a patient-focused compassionate approach to health and healing, focusing on prevention of illness and maintenance of health.
He uses acupuncture, herbs,
Chinese massage, cupping and Chinese heat therapy (moxibustion) to treat conditions such as chronic and acute pain, mental health concerns, insomnia, headaches, digestive issues, allergies, pregnancy and reproductive health, hormonal support, and seasonal immune boosting to prevent colds and help during flu season. In addition, he uses a needle-less modern neurological muscular assessment that is rooted in Chinese medicine meridians to enhance sport performance and prevent chronic pain from muscular compensation.

Kitchen Experiments & Recipe Adventures
My Favourite Granola
I’ve been tinkering with my granola recipe for years and finally found a combination of different ones that is consistently awesome. This makes a lot and stores wonderfully in the freezer. Play around with this as you like. Enjoy!
- 8 cups large flake rolled oats
- 4 cups of whatever combination of nuts and seeds you like (I use chopped walnuts, slivered almonds, and sesame, hemp, sunflower and pumpkin seeds)
- 1 cup flakes coconut
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup coconut oil
- 2/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 2 tsp vanilla
In a very large bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients in a small, bring to a boil then remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix well. Spread onto two very large baking sheets and press down gently. Bake at 275’F for ~45 min, rotating trays halfway. Lower temperature to ~175’F for another hour, turn the oven off and leave trays in the oven until fully cool. Break into clusters and store in an airtight container. This is delicious by the spoonful, on yogurt, or in pancakes or muffins for a little extra crunch.
Finally, a little funny…
