Shockwave Services

Shockwave therapy, also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive medical treatment that utilizes high-energy sound waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.

Shockwave Treats Various Musculoskeletal Conditions

Shockwave therapy stimulates increased circulation which accelerates the body’s natural healing processes and can also relieve pain.

Sports Medicine

By promoting tissue healing and hastening the recovery process, shockwave therapy assists athletes in returning to their sports (and the rest of us to our lives!) sooner and in better condition.

Shockwave therapy complements traditional therapy and exercises. It serves as a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment option, reducing the need for more interventions in many cases.

What We Treat

What To Expect

Tissue Regeneration & Healing

During a shockwave therapy session, a handheld device delivers controlled acoustic waves to the affected area of the body. These waves create mechanical stress and microtrauma at the cellular level, triggering a cascade of biological responses. This includes neovascularization (formation of new blood vessels), increased blood flow, and the release of growth factors all of which promote tissue regeneration and healing.

Short Series of Sessions

The intensity and frequency of the shockwave pulses can be adjusted based on the specific condition being treated and the individual patient’s needs. The treatment is typically administered in a series of three to four sessions, with each session lasting approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

Reduce Pain & Improve Mobility

Shockwave therapy has been found to be effective in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including tendinopathies (such as Achilles tendonopathy, tennis elbow, and plantar fasciitis), calcific tendonitis, muscle strains, and myofascial trigger points. It can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance tissue healing without the need for surgery or medications.
